Inspire Education - Careers Expo Identity (Unsolicited)
This is an unsolicited design for Inspire Education. The project involved developing a conference identity which both follows the identity of the broader organisation, but is also unique in and of itself, demonstrating my technical knowledge, and versatility in a small scale brand design challenge.
Careers expo’s are held by many universities, offering assistance to students in finding a job after graduation. With the uncertainty of COVID-19, and the move to fully online learning across the country, online or virtual careers expo’s have become normal. This means a unique project with digital-only resources., as both students and teachers were subjected to a national lockdown. The colours can be vivid RGB, with no need for printing consideration.
I experimented with a wide range of themes and design styles, before finalising my design. Bright, bold and dynamic colours from the Inspire Education brand guidelines are used to bring vibrance and energy to the design, promoting ideas of inspiration and motivation. Typography, and the Spark! Motif are used as the only graphic devices. Keeping it fresh, simple, and inspirational. With the digital environment as a limitation, I envisioned downloadable posters as an expo ‘freebie’, where one would normally see tote bags, brochures, pens and other such items. The posters embody the core ideas of the expo, while keeping branding to a minimum, to encourage students to use them to inspire their next move.
